Date Your Numbers

Opus Date — numerology dating

A dating app where the best photo doesn’t decide. The numbers from your birth name and birth date show who you match with, and how you can help each other.

Beta · free · adults 18+ only

How does it work?

1 · Sign upYour numbers need your birth nameYour birth name, exactly as it was written on your birth certificate when you were born, and your date of birth. Nobody ever sees these; they are only used for the calculation.
2 · ProfileYour own DNA chain builds upIt shows everyone else all the essential information about you.
3 · BrowseFind the one who matches youYour compatibility from 1 to 10 appears above every profile. You can filter by distance and age too.
4 · ChatOne chat, 24 hoursOnce they accept your invite, the chat stays open for 24 hours and can be extended once. You can only talk to one person at a time, so ghosting doesn’t exist here.

What does compatibility show?

On every profile you can see how your numbers relate to each other:

  • Life Path ↔ Life Path: your main goal. If you pull in the same direction, nothing can go badly wrong.
  • Day Number: everyday life and your shared rhythm.
  • Name Number: how you behave and the role you take on.
  • Soul Number: what you long for deep down.
  • Chinese sign: whether there’s an irreconcilable clash between you.
  • Personal Year: whether now is a good time for a new relationship.

Every pairing of numbers is marked harmonious, neutral (workable) or difficult. It shows where the standout match is, and also what you can do to support the other person or make them happy. Read what the numbers mean on the numbers page, and how the shared number works in the relationship number article.

Want to understand an existing relationship in depth? That’s what a relationship numerology reading is for: there we read both full charts together.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Opus Date is in beta right now: signing up and using it is free.

Why do you need my full birth name and date of birth?

The server uses them to calculate your Name Number, Soul Number, Life Path and Day Number, exactly as in a numerology reading. Nobody ever sees your birth name or birth date: your profile only shows your display name, your age and your city.

What does the 1–10 score mean?

It shows how much two people’s numbers strengthen or strain each other. The Life Path (the reduced sum of your date of birth) carries the most weight, followed by the Day Number (the reduced sum of the day you were born), the Name Number (the sum of all the letter values in your birth name) and the Soul Number (the sum of the vowels in your name). It also counts how you relate to each other in Chinese astrology, and what personal period you are both in.

Why only one conversation at a time?

So you pay attention to the one person you are talking to. A conversation stays open for 24 hours, can be extended once by another 24 hours, then it closes and the messages are deleted. If the vibe isn’t there by then and you haven’t swapped contact details, it’s probably not worth continuing.

Is it safe?

Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so even the provider can’t read them, and your messages are never saved. You can block and report anyone, reports are moderated, and you can delete your account with all your data at any time. For adults 18+ only.

Do I have to download it?

You don’t have to download anything: it works in your browser too, and you can add it to your home screen with one tap. From there it opens just like any other app and sends you notifications.
