Numbers describe different groups of people surprisingly well: programmers, doctors, and criminals too. An extreme career almost always takes willpower, ego, ambition, a hunger for power, materialism and raw force. These traits are not distributed at random. They have their own numbers.
In this article I have taken four cases from the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list, and we will also look at a pattern from Hungary. The most interesting one comes at the end: a man who, according to the textbooks, should be the embodiment of peace.
First, an important clarification
Numerology does not judge. Nobody becomes a criminal because of a number. A number is an energy and a direction. The same 8 drives the successful entrepreneur and the fraudster; the same 1 drives the leader and the tyrant. What becomes of that energy is a matter of choice. That is exactly why the extreme cases are worth studying: they show most clearly what happens when the shadow side of a number takes over.
All calculations follow the rules of the Opus system. Master numbers (11, 22, 33) are never reduced, and the Personal Year turns over on the birthday, not on January 1.
1. Ruja Ignatova, the Crypto Queen: the 8 Life Path
Ladies first. Ruja Ignatova is the founder of the cryptocurrency OneCoin. According to the FBI, she defrauded investors worldwide of more than 4 billion dollars. She disappeared in October 2017 and has not been seen since.

The chart tells the story almost word for word. The 8 Life Path is the number of material success, power and ambition. The 3 Day Number gives outstanding communication skills: people open up to this person and trust them. On top of that, Ignatova is organized, practical and has an excellent eye for detail.

The 9 year: the circle closes
Ignatova was indicted in 2017, and in February 2018 prosecutors filed additional charges. Her birthday is May 30, so October 2017 and February 2018 fall into the same Personal Year: her 9 year. The 9 Personal Year is the year of endings and closures. At the end of a cycle, even what had been kept hidden comes to the surface. On June 30, 2022, she was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.
2. Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias, leader of MS-13: triple 8
According to the FBI, Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias leads the MS-13 gang in Honduras. He is wanted for racketeering, drug trafficking and armed crimes. He visibly believes in physical force, and he knows exactly what effect it has when he shows it.

Three 8s in one chart: the life path, the inner desire, and the way the world sees him. The 8 is the number of strength and control. In its healthy form it gives authority. On its shadow side it wants to rule, and it takes what it wants by force.
An escape on his birthday: the start of a 1 year
On February 13, 2020, his birthday (at the time he was held under the name Alexander Mendoza, “Porky”), MS-13 gunmen freed him during a court transfer. On that very day he entered his 1 Personal Year. The 1 is the number of new beginnings and new paths. In the language of numerology, he quite literally set out in hope of a new life.
The FBI did not take it lightly. On November 3, 2021, he was added to the Ten Most Wanted list, in his 11 Personal Year. The 11 is the year of heightened, unpredictable energy, when things are decided suddenly and dramatically.
3. Alejandro Rosales Castillo: the 1 and the 8
In August 2016, in the United States, Alejandro Rosales Castillo allegedly killed his former girlfriend, Truc Quan “Sandy” Ly Le. He then fled to Mexico. He was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list on October 24, 2017, and after nearly ten years in hiding he was captured in Mexico in January 2026.

The 1 Life Path together with the double 8 shows a strong urge to control. Patience is missing, and any system or limit is hard to accept. It is a sudden, hot-tempered energy that cannot stand anything slipping out of its hands. At the time of the act he was in his 9 Personal Year, just as Ignatova was when she was indicted.
4. The pattern in Hungary: 1, 8, 11 and the missing 4
I also looked at the people wanted by the Hungarian police for violent crimes. Without names, looking only at their numbers. They are living people who are still being sought; this article is not about them, it is about the pattern.
The pattern is clear:
- The 1 is significant in every case. The 1 is the number of will and ego. On its shadow side it tolerates no contradiction.
- The 8 and the 11 dominate. The 8 is strength and control; the 11 is heightened, erratic intensity.
- The 4 is strikingly absent. The 4 stands for order, structure and rules.
Among those wanted for grievous bodily harm, the 11 is even stronger: the more hot-tempered, less predictable energy. The 1 is present in every case here as well, and the missing 4 is no coincidence here either.
For someone whose chart lacks the 4, rules are not an inner compass but a limit imposed from outside. That in itself is not a problem. But when a strong 1, 8 and 11 come with it, the engine has no brake.
5. The surprise: the FBI’s most wanted “man of peace”
As promised at the start. Vitel’Homme Innocent is the leader of the Haitian gang Kraze Baryè. According to the textbooks, he should be the embodiment of saintliness.

All five of his core numbers are 9. In the textbook reading, that is peace incarnate: idealism and service to humanity.
I see something else: a conceited tyrant, detached from reality and full of unattainable ideas. The shadow side of the 9 is not weakness but manipulation: the conviction that a grand goal justifies any means. It is no accident that in the Opus course material the 9 is called the Idealist, manipulator.
The 8 and the 9 years
In October 2021, according to the charges, his gang worked with another gang to take 17 Christian missionaries hostage, five of them children. Innocent was in his 8 Personal Year at the time: the year of strength and power.
In October 2022, in his 9 year, he allegedly ordered the kidnapping of an American couple. During the hostage-taking, the wife, Marie Odette Franklin, lost her life. The 9 year is the year of closure: this is where the circle closed. He had gone far enough that on November 15, 2023, he was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.
(In July 2025 the FBI removed him from the list because he no longer met its criteria. The warrant remains in force.)
What do the numbers show together?

The most dominant numbers are the 1, the 8 and the 11. The most characteristic absence is the 4, the number of order, structure and rules. And where a chart is “perfect” in the textbook sense, as with Innocent, the shadow side is the most dangerous, because nobody expects it.
And what does this mean for your chart?
Here is the point nobody says out loud: the same numbers are in your chart too. The 1, the 8 and the 11 appear in the charts of successful entrepreneurs, athletes and leaders as well.
Whether you become a criminal or a billionaire is not decided by whether you have a 1, an 8 or an 11. It is decided by whether you know about them, and what you use them for. On paper, Vitel’Homme’s 9 was the number of peace, and he still became a tyrant. Numbers give a direction. The choice is yours.

Does an 8 Life Path make someone a criminal?
No. The 8 is the number of success, money and power. Most people with an 8 Life Path are entrepreneurs, leaders or professionals. The 8 becomes dangerous when control and money turn into ends in themselves and there is no inner brake beside them, such as the 4.
What does a missing 4 mean in numerology?
The 4 is the number of order, persistence, structure and following rules. If it is missing from the chart, the person has to build structure consciously, because it does not come naturally. That is not negative in itself, but next to a strong 1, 8 or 11 the brake is missing.
What is the shadow side of the master number 11?
The 11 is the number of the Master Intuitive: strong instincts, high tension, inspiration. On its shadow side it is erratic, hot-tempered and unpredictable. In the Opus system the 11 is never reduced to 2, because the 11 energy is a different quality from the 2.
How do I calculate my Life Path number?
Add up the digits of your date of birth and reduce the total to a single digit. 11, 22 and 33 are not reduced further. Example with Ruja Ignatova’s date (May 30, 1980): the year 1+9+8+0 = 18, the month 5, the day 3+0 = 3. 18 + 5 + 3 = 26, 2+6 = 8. For people born in 2000 or later, the “20” of the year stays together. What is a Personal Year, and when does it start?
The Personal Year is the current stage of your nine-year cycle. In the Opus system it turns over on your birthday, not on January 1. That is why, for Ignatova, October 2017 and February 2018 both fell into the same year: her 9 year.
Can numerology predict who will commit a crime?
No, and that is not its purpose. Numerology shows tendencies and directions, not fate. It is useful for understanding your own energies and using them consciously.
